He blamed the loss on to the lack of partnerships that the Indians came up with. Dhoni said that each time a partnership grew in the Indian batting, the Sri Lankan side were able to bowl that magical delivery to get the batsmen out.

Looking at the way Sri Lanka is playing in this tournament, it does look difficult for the Indians to win their fifth edition of the tournament and the first in the last 15 years. Currently, as things stand, the Indians look like they may compete, but beating Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka will need much more than that.

India play Pakistan in the fourth game of the Asia Cup and the fireworks are expected to fly out of the game. India goes into the game with a lot of confidence having beaten Bangladesh rather easily, whereas Pakistan know that this is a must-win scenario for them given that the side had lost to Sri Lanka in the first game of the tournament.

The Kings XI Punjab team has been hit by another controversy and this time around it has to do with a report carried out by the Times of India that the Indian cricketers and former Punjab captain Yuvraj Singh had decided not to play for the side. Instead, he was to move to Mumbai Indians to play in the third edition of the tournament.

Even as Yuvraj Singh tries to regain his form back in the ongoing IPL, the county of Middlesex has said that they will not be signing the middle-order batsman from India. The county of Middlesex has cancelled the contract that it had earlier signed with Yuvraj Singh after it was found that they would not get an NOC from the Indian cricket board to play in their Twenty20 Cup.

India took full toll of the injuries that the Australian squad seem to be suffering from and thrashed them by 99 runs in the second ODI of the seven match series at Nagpur. With this win, the series is now tied at one game apiece and the action will move to Delhi where the two sides will play their third game.
