Younis Khan has said that he may be contemplating making a comeback to the T20 format of the game. Younis Khan had earlier retired from the shortest format of the game after he had led his side to a tournament win in the ICC World T20 in 2009.

When New Zealand beat England by a very convincing margin of more than 23 overs, they had not only qualified for the semi-finals, but also topped the group. Because of this, they will now play the second placed team from the group A, whereas England will need to play the top team from Group A. However, there is no clear visibility on which team will join Pakistan in the semi-finals, and which of the two sides will actually top the group.

Yuvraj Singh

India’s chances in the Champions Trophy have been dealt a big blow as their star batsman Yuvraj Singh has been declared unfit for the tournament and will be returning back home. Yuvraj Singh had been hit by a ball on his finger and could bat, bowl or field for the rest of the session. He was later taken for X-rays and it was found that he had had a fracture. This has ruled him out of cricket for a period of six weeks till the fracture heals, and that means that the vice-captain of the side will not play in this tournament and may be missing for the seven ODI match series against the Australians as well.

India’s best ever batsman, Sachin Tendulkar, has said that he is still not satisfied with the number of runs that he has got in the test match format of the game, and that he would like to end with at least 15,000 runs under his belt.

The Ranji Trophy is a domestic first-class cricket championship played in India. It was launched in 1934 and the winners receiving a trophy donated by the Maharajah of Patiala. It was named after KS Ranjitsinhji, even though he barely played any of his cricket in the country.

Finally, India beat Australia by nine runs in Brisbane to win the Commonwealth Bank Series by 2-0. Team India deserve this trophy. Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar showed his class again when required. With the help of seven fours in 91 as India made 258-9 after choosing to bat. Also, Praveen Kumar took 4 (46) wickets. [...]
