Sourav Ganguly was fined $40,000 of his match fee for not bowling his overs in time in the game between Kolkata Knight Riders and the Delhi Daredevils. Ganguly is the captain of the Kolkata side and was found two overs short of the overall required target within the stipulated time and hence was charged by the match referee.

Adam Gilchrist has jumped into the fray and voiced his opinion over the excess of cricket that is played these days.
