Pakistan’s sports ministry has not raised any objections against the participation of their players in the third edition of the Indian Premier League. This means that the Pakistani players are more close than ever to participate in the IPL 3.0 which will start from the 12th of March next year. However, the players still need permission from the interior minister which is a prerequisite for them to get an NOC from their cricket board, the PCB.
The Indian Premier League could see a host of Pakistani cricketers making their comeback into the tournament for the next season. The IPL has set a deadline of 20th November for the Pakistan Cricket Board to send them the NOCs for the participation of the cricketers, and are now working on the paper-work for the visas.
Former Pakistani cricketers have criticised the overall functioning of Pakistani cricket, from the methods of the Pakistan Cricket Board to the captaincy, selections and the coaching as the national team goes from one loss to another in the on-going ODI series.
