India will play Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe from Friday in a tri-series in Zimbabwe. The three teams will play each other twice and the top two sides will then play in the final of the tournament.

The three nation series between India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will begin from today. Each team will play the other two sides, twice each, and at the end of this round-robin stage, the top two sides with the highest points will feature in the final of the tournament. There will b six league games. The final will be played on the 13th of January at Dhaka. In fact, all the games will be played at Mirpur in Dhaka and will be day-night matches.

It might have been an inconsequential win for other teams but the Delhi Daredevils looked hungry for it. They needed this win to prove to themselves more than to anyone else that they still have mettle and have not lost everything. With some brave decisions, the team got down on the Feroz Shah Kotla ground to face South African Nashua Cape Cobras, the team to which they have already lost once, in the last match of the Super eight stage of the Champions League.

Injury-hit Delhi Daredevils with some big names like Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag and Tillakaratne Dilshan, was crushed by Victoria Bushrangers by seven wickets in Delhi’s Feroz Shah Kotla on Friday in the Group D opener of the Champions League Twenty20.

It is for the second consecutive time that Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been named as the ICC ODI Player of the Year. The awards were given away at a glittering awards ceremony in Johannesburg on Thursday night. Apart from this one award, Dhoni was also named captain of both ICC Test and ODI teams.
