Shane Keith Warne is is an international Australian cricketer. He is well known as one of the greatest bowlers of all time. His 708 wickets is the record for the most wickets taken by any bowler in Test cricket.
However his career was overwhelmed by scandals; these included a ban from cricket for testing positive for a prohibited substance, and charges of bringing the game into disrepute.
He retired from international cricket in January 2007, at the end of Australia’s 5-0 Ashes series victory over England.
