The 37-year-old was rested for the current match against Derbyshire, with Surrey having already secured the Liverpool Victoria County Champion-ship second division title.

But Ramprakash will not have his feet up for long – he is preparing to take part in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing on BBC1, which could fill much of his winter.
