Right now there is not much of information available but in the future you will see all latest news.
Another thing I have noticed that they are taking or selling tickets for the Champions trophy to be played in India Oct 7 to Nov 5. It looks like it has been launched only to offer online tickets:

While it is Ok for you to raise revenue for the board and of course which is for the upliftment of of the game in India.But to raise funds by auctioning the telecast rights to one contender creates a monopolistic situation. The successful bidder tries to charge exhorbitantly from the viewing customers so much so that they are deprived of the pleasure of watching our stars in action.This will mellow down a bit if two contenders are there who have the rights to telecast. This will result in healthy competition like we have in the air travel & telecom fields and the customers will get relief.
We cannot have a stuation as we have in India now. The customers only generate the revenue and the network is trying to kill the bird that lays the golden eggs.Also we have the monopolistic & restrictive trade law that will apply all the networks that beam into India & let the TRAI set the price. If not it would lead to dissatisfaction. In a welfare state we cannot have such fleecing type of network who have forced the people in Nagpur not to see the telecast. We will shun them but BCCI too has a bigger responsibility.

It appears that like the Ministry of Agriculture, the BCCI need to import foreign players, one foreign coach and his support staff are not enough. After all, both the organisations are headed by the same person.
It may be even better if they replace the “bunch of jokers” with foreigners also.
The DLF Cup is another Sample for how a Leader/Captain should not be. Yes, Dravid is not Fit for the Captain. I agree that no other member in our team is as cool head as Dravid and no other player is as reliable as him. But when it comes to captain you should take your own decisions regarding the batting order shuffles. Regarding the strategy should be used for the Opponent team. Dravid did not do this once again. We all know who was behind the decision of opening dravid in last few series. Its justifiable that Dravid Openend the innning when sachin is not there(Ofcourse i even disagree that in india we have plenty of young talented openers like Robin Uthappa, Ghambir etc…) But after the master return why dravid should have batted at 2 spot rather than is own 3 (or) 4 order i mean 1 (or) second down. This not only affected his own Form, but also sehwag’s. Already we had a Example how a player can sacrifice for the team and spoil is own batting form; I hope you all know that i am talking about Saurav Ganguly.
A leader can sacrifice for the team up to certain extent that is upto where it doesn’t affetc him. But Ganguly went too much, that caused him out of the team. A leader should have aggressive and his own decision making capacity which is entirely lacking in Dravid. I have no doubt that he is playing like a puppet in chappel’s hand. I am not blaming Chappel alone but also the incapacity to withstand for what he is feeling right —- yes i am talking about Dravid. My Opinion the cause of this cup is not only over but it will continue until, Dravid becomes a person of true to himself, A person who plays a aggressive role. As far as the leadership Concern you can be a Good Leader only in 2 ways, One is be a part of Player / Worker, Another is be a Bad Guy. When we go history most leaders are bad guys. I dont want Dravid to become a bad guy and be a Great leader, but atleast be a part of player of your own like Fleming, and Late hansie Cronje does for their team.

I do prefer that John Wright is the best coach for India. No other coach in world can train our tream. so i feel like its better to change top order team members instead of coach. Its really feel shy to have such a top order in India. Inconsistency is in players not in coach. Reason is coach cant get into ground and play but can teach how they play. Our team lacks consistency and resistance power. Less practice and more towards ads and entertainments. If the same continues, then even a new country will also beat India. More over, important thing is let us have tall people who can face tall teams like AUS, RSA, WI etc. All our short players are not fit. I think we should drop the so called prima donna’s and search for new blood anywhere in the world were there are indians.
They will have more pride, by more energetic, will be a lot healthier and be more professional. Our top stars are only interested in making money, opening there own resturant’s and publicity. When results go from bad to worse and they may be dropped then they turn in a world class performance.

All players should be paid depending on their performance in each game and not by seniority or previous performances that put them in higher grades because there is tremendous lack of professiosnalism in indian team.

Iam a great fan of cricket. But the way India played the recents matches iam not happy. I feel the basic reason for this happening is all the players earn more in advertisement than salary they get. I personally feel since they are getting more money from advertisement they are concentarting on that rather than on cricket. Hence there should an Act governing the BCCI not to allow their player to starcast in advertisement. I Think this will really will improve the players performance. Just try for one year, our team will show good performance in the future matches.

I am a fan of Indian Cricket team from the day one of my life i understand this.But the current performance of India in World Cup which i believe not upto the mark what we are actually capable of.Being in 10 test playing countries where cricket is not just a game but a religion we expect atleast in final 4 our Indian Team.But from Day1 what India performed against Bangladesh,its difficult to imagine India Vs Srilanka Match which is virtually the Final game for India.Comparing the current form of Indian Team its difficult for brain to accept Srilanka is a Better team and we are going to loose and difficult for heart to believe that India is going out from World Cup from First Round. I am not going to comment on how India performed but its the fact that india failed in each and every part of the game i.e. basics. In India Cricket stars are treated as God and top Five batsman of India hold more than 50000 runs in ODI and we r not able to chase 255 runs. I would like to know what board is going to do for such situation.As board is there to improve Cricket and its infrastructure in India, so whats they are going to control the players playing for INDIA.We all know its not the time to blame the team or coach but its the time to do the SWAT analysis. Do we need a change in the culture of Cricket or the selection procedure or BCCI should have control over the players regarding their performance and endorsments the players are doing.Easy money attracts everyone but that should not affect the main cause for what they are getting those. I will request BCCI to take a close look into this and should control the commertialization coming into Cricket. We are here waiting with lots of hope from the board to analyze WHY INDIA IS OUT OF 1st ROUND OF WORLD CUP? I AM A FAN OF THE INDIAN CRICKET TEAM AND I STILL BELIEVE IN THE PLAYERS. It is important for us to understand that winning and losing are both a part of the game, and we as fans should learn to stand by our team in both the good and bad times. Yes, we cannot simply forget their loss, the team and the management must analyze the nature of the problem and try to solve it as soon as possible .But I would like to appeal to the fans, we must not lose faith in our players and certainly not resort to vandalism and violence to show our disappoint and anger. We are angry and sad about this untimely loss of the team but so are the team members…They didn’t go there to lose, they didn’t want to disappoint us… if anything they feel much worse then we do… Another thing we must understand is that most of our cricketers are under so much PRESSURE because of our expectations…The media, the sponsors, the citizens – all 1.2 billion of us have expectations from the team… We all consider ourselves “cricket-experts” and feel the need to always advertise our opinion the team and its every performance…I think it is time that we let the TEAM and the MANAGEMENT decide who should be in the team and how the players can improve. This will certainly reduce the enormous pressure on our players and help them enjoy their game once again and show us the stuff they are really made off…..

I am viewing in the different view of the current situation. This may be look like funny, still i would like to express my view.
1. Whatever happening with the Indian Cricket team looks like a well planned move by the outsiders, trying to break the team and destroy the image of the Indian Cricket especially our star rated players.
When Ganguly was the captain, he was very much aggressive and hold a command over the team and won many matches without any stratergy or policies whatever given by the current coach. As per my knowledge Ganguly is the very very aggresive captain of the Indian Cricket, first they want to remove him from the captain, as their luck that happened for them with the huge drama from the current coach and Made Dravid as a captain with very less aggression in and off the field and made him to depend on the coach to decide and have command over the team.
Now looks like same episode they are trying to play with Sachin , Both Sachin and Ganguly are the two pillars of the Indian Team for the Past 1 and half decade. So now they are putting pressure on Sachin so that he will take early retirment and leave the team.
The same Happened with Irfan Pathan, he was treated and emerging as a next Kapil Dev and a match winner for Indian Cricket with his all round abilities… What happened to him now is nowhere in the Indian Cricket team. Same is happening with the each player in the indian cricket now.
This is the headsup for our Indian Cricket and we should react before they destroy all the other players and the Indian Cricket.
My humble request to the BCCI President, Board Members and old players should support and encourage the players and make a plan to break the outsiders diplomatic dramas to destroy the Indian Team and the players.

I am in full agreement with the comments made by Grg Chappel. Selection is done on likes and dislikes. Pitches are made for BCCI to improve their bank balances. Many youngsters want to be a part of the cricket team for the glamour,the money the way they get idolised. Austrailia is willing to change their captain or drop a player for the slightest sign of complacency or fall in form. We keep them going on and on. Some players were in the world cup team with the hope that they re live the past glory. Change now or get out in the 1st round for ever.

I am really glad that you all are taking initial steps to bring good players in team in future and for the next world. There is one my opinion, regarding coach for indian team, i would suggest to take Dave whatmore as indian coach. He generally a good coach, he knows how manage good management in team and he got good experience in training teams like Srilanka and bangladesh. As both teams came up with full confidence and played very good cricket. And he luvs challenges and i am sure he can do the best job for india as well.

We do not need super star in Cricket, we have plenty of them in Bollywood, Kollywood and other woods. We need sincere players. One who did not look his individial records and who is looking for Team and Country’s Records and Victories ONLY BE SELECTED to Indian team. Do not consider any other factor in team selection those who are senior or junior.

Has anybody asked what Niranjan Shah was doing in West Indies. The expense paid vacation for him to watch Semis and final where Indian team is out of the tournament a month ago? Who paid for his expenses to visit and for what? If anything he should be hiding his face in his office along with other 11 players.
Does anybody care? Or BCCI is so rich because of their foolish, illetrate, blind fans that few thousand dollars don’t matter. Well then this what you get for players, who don’t care what you think.
Send all BCCI officials to U.S. or U.K. to intern at NBA or NFL and/or UEFA and learn how to run a sports team, league, how to treat players, how to hold players accountable for their actions, how not to aleniate your fan base and most importantly, how to market your product effectively and profitably.
India lost out at the world cup because they were not mentally strong and not physically committed as the aussies or srilankans were (even not competent as the Bangladeshis).
It is acollective failure of the whole team (playing and non-playing inclusive of heads, organisers, sponsers, managers, team coach and players.). There is no point in blaming each other for the defeat. The stress should be on the determination not only to avoid such humiliating exits but also to soar new heights and attain high levels of fitness, standards and dedication like the aussies. The most important thing is that the playing eleven should have a very strong killer instinct. Also senior players have to put in their efforts and experience (e.g., australia, srilanka)

If lords is the mecca of world cricket then Eden Gardens is certainly the mnecca of indian cricket where cricketis being played from 1773.I suggest that the inner periphery fencing of eden Gardens is old fashioned and ugly.This fencing should be made by replacing the grills with modern bee hive fencing attached to white painted steel tubular frames.Moreover the gallerie all around should be fenced with white wooden railings seen in lords which will add to the beauty of this ground.So the BCCI should immediately sanction fund for BEE HIVE FENCING and white painted wooden railings

We have three experienced players viz. Tendulkar, Ganguly and Dravid who have played more than 300 international matches. By considering their age and experience, no coaching is required for them. Instead, they can be used by the BCCI as ‘Team Management Coach’ in the following manner.
1.Total team may be divided into three groups
2.Each group may be headed by Sachin, Ganguly and Dravid
3.These group heads will give coaching to the members of their group.
Advantages:
1.No interference of alien person
2.Everyone like the above three persons
3.Regional quarrels will come down
4.Cost saving to BCCI

Can ICL and BCCI Co-Exist?
The emergence of Indian Cricket League (ICL) promoted by Zee Network is a development that could have a long term impact on Indian Cricket. However, will this be a positive development that would help India resurrect itself from the World Cup 2007 debacle? or Will it divide the already demoralized Indian cricket into two rival factions? .. is the question that is uppermost in the minds of every Cricket lover in India.
The truth is, it is in the hands of BCCI to either of the above scenarios come true. ICL can only react to the choice of BCCI.
If BCCI thinks that ICL is a rival to be nipped in the bud, they will go ahead with banning players from participating in ICL tournaments and also investing time and money to set up its own TV channel which will compete with not only the Zee Network but also the ESPN and STAR. This could affect ICL plans and restrict their activities to organizing exhibition matches of retired Cricketers. This may not be a disaster financially since international players like Mcgrath and Warne would add an element of interest to the matches. In a few years from now, Saurav, Sachin and Rahul may also join this band. ICL will then focus on harnessing the brand values of international cricketers. Their expenditure would be limited to payment of match fees and there will be less investment on the development of the game.
On the other hand, if BCCI and ICL can work together, ICL can invest in developing a Cricket infrastructure in the country which can invest in development of cricket and players may graduate from ICL to BCCI. This would require more investment on development but less on hiring the services of ex-cricketers.
BCCI would benefit from this arrangement since ICL would then be sharing some of the investments which people expect BCCI to make in the development of Cricket in India. As long as ICL players aspire to play for the BCCI team, there is no loss of prestige to BCCI since it will remain as the apex organization in India. ICL will then be considered as subordinate to BCCI.
The best structure would be to admit ICL as a member to BCCI like any other state association without any jurisdictional limitations. In otherwords, ICL may be permitted to field a team of its own in the domestic tournaments picking players from any part of the country and making payment of whatever fees they can command. In the process, domestic cricketers would make more money and ICL would be like the “Rest of India” team. It would be like the earstwhile Bombay team from which 6 to 7 players would be picked for the Indian Test squad.
Obviously some state teams may be upset since their best players would go out to ICL. This fear is however academic since it is not possible for ICL to chose more than two or three players from any state team and they would anyway be available for the country. ICL and the State Associations may also work in coordination to the extent that a State association should feel proud if their players move onto ICL team as if it is a step closer to being in the Test team. Even today of a state player is selected for India A matches he would miss the Ranji matches. The emerging situation would not be different from this scenario with ICL selection substituting the India A team selection.
If required it may be agreed that ICL will not pick more than 3 players from any single association for a given series/match and a certain part of the fees payable to the player would be paid to the State association as a “Royalty” for release of the player.
This sort of a system would enable co-existence of ICL and BCCI and help young and old cricketers alike. It will also preserve the apex status of BCCI . BCCI may also make use of the Zee TV network in substitution of its own network with every cricket venture being treated as a “Joint Venture” in which BCCI gets a part of the profit share.
I suggest both BCCI and ICL give adequate thought to the above suggestion.

What our team needs is certainly not a coach but a person with brains to give the right advice at the right time. Matter of fact, BCCI could very easily justify investing millions on an Advisor rather than a foreigner!”

I fail to understand why the board is so blind in evaluating the performance of a faded Agarkar and continue to drag him into presitigous mathes. If the influence of his is so strong on the board i wouldnt be surprised to see him in the twenty 20 world cup and also for the coming tours. guyz I wanna ask the most richest body in the cricketing arena the BCCI why are they not taking any actions against the match officials in the last match at the Natwest trophy two wrong decisions from Mr Aleem Dar cost us the match. I think we should seek the ICC panel and fight against this. I think our players also needs to be told that if they think that they are not out then they have the right to appleal against this and the onfield umpires must make use of the technology to come to a right conclusion so that their decision does not affect the outcome of the game.
I want to ask the selection committee of BCCI that,why Ajit Agarkar is always given opportunties to bring defeat for india?In the last two 20-20world cup matches,if we analyse in the 19th over,he has given away 19 & 21 runs respectively.As a result,we ended up with a tie instead of a comprehensive win over Pakistan and lost to Newzealand by 10runs.I think,he is the senior most & experienced bowler in the Indian squad.If he performs this way,then it is too early to expect from new comers like,RP Singh & Sreesanth.I fail to understand,why Mr.Agarkar is always included in the team inspite of his poor performances? Team India does not need a coach. All it need is a motivator and a manager who understands the feelings of all players and their potentials.
I may do this job if given a chance. I’ll be specific and to the point- What will be the strategy of Australian team in ongoing series for Indian Batsman 1) Sachin, they will put a short covers and short mid-wicket and in between tight length balls they will put loose one’s tempting sachin to drive uppishly and get him caught.
2) Saurav-they will short balls on middle stump and also short and wide outside off-stump to make him cut and catch him.
3) Ddoni-they will bowl him wicket to wicket and will not give him any room or they will bowl him outswingers.
Now about Australian team- They win only because they have a characteristic of pulling back from any odd in the game, if they are prevented from doing that, they can be defeatedly easily, one way is to wash off their plans by giving them surprizes, including one or two youngster about whom they do not know and also changing batting order to surprize them. Also one way to contain them is to rush through the overs very very quickly, like srilankans, don’t ;et their batsman think before a ball or have a look around the field and also position of a fieldsman changed ones the bowler takes the run-up. If australians make more than 250 it will be always hard to chase it, so they should be contained below 250.
Sachin should not go to open, he should play no. 4 or 5. Send in dravid at no. 3 and Yuvraj at n0.4. Saurav and Gautam to open.

sehwag,agarker,kumble,karthik may be considered for re-inclusion in the team.
both agarker and kumble do not allow batsmen to settle down and both are allrounders with good experience.
the batsmen to watch inaussie team are gilchrist,mathew hadden ponting and clark rest are not so dangerous but it is these 4 batsmen who must be rattled by our bowlers as they tend to pileup a very good score.
our batsmen must stop playing sitting ducks and emulate the splendid example of yuvraj singh who made ponting walk up to him to congratulate him for making 121 runs !
for heaven’s sake let us not have a zero win result for india !!

Is there any rule against umpires?? In the second test against australia, umpires gave lots of wrong decisions. One of them was a catch out that they didn’t give, Australian batsman was out, but umpires cheated. Also, didnt asked 3rd umpire for the decision. Also, Symonds was LBW on bhaji’s ball, but there too umpire cheated. Is there any law to bring umpires to justice, as they will keep messing up the spirit of cricket????
Rules should be same for all.
Also, Bhaji didn’t say any thing, why are they charging him. It seems clear that Australian players are playing game with indian players, One should take action against them too.???

The SCG test between India and Australia has been filled with wrong decisions, especially favoring Australia, in both the innings and involving some very key players. While we live in the world of technological innovations and continuous change, then why are we relying on the judgement of an aged umpire who has proved numerous times in the past about his incompetency by giving wrong decisions at crucial stages in the game. If he would have not made such errors in this current test, then I would wonder if the result of this test would have been different. One wonders if there is something fishy about this whole umpiring failure.

There is no point in continuing with this tour and play a band of roughes and cheaters. We should return home as a protest, whatever the consequence may be. It reminds us of how once Sunil Gavaskar went off the field when lili was bowling. At lest we should not continue the tour if we have these two good for nothing umpires. I did give a piece of my mind to the silly kangaroos at their official cricket board’s website. Mind you it was not a comment they would like to read!!!

The spineless people like Rajiv Shukla, Niranjan Shah, and Pawar himself are letting everyone down every single time. This has to end right here and right now. Enough is enough.

Honestly ICC representatives either governing body members or officials or umpires should resign collectively to save the pride and spirit of global sports in this case.
BCCI is in complete dereliction of its job to stand up for Indian cricket and the game of cricket when it responds so meekly to Australian excesses. Is this contractual obligations or just cowardice?
Given the history of cowardice that the careers of its incumbents have shown in all spheres I am more inclined to believe it is the latter.

There are many things lacking in the Cricket consortium, lot of commotion and awaiting for some decisions, I would like to point some thoughts.
The match was one sided by the help of Bucknor, Benson and the third umpire. There must be some thing wrong, I doubt the Australian players if not the ICC. Instead of Bucknor banned to umpire for India and sacked for the next test match. The trio need to be questioned to get the truth out. Is Benson a brainless or is Pointing a decision maker?
Is that fair, the game to be one sided? Were the winners were the losers! The BCCI must claim for a rematch and the records of this match are to be ruled out. In fact the ICC must have come out of that decision at the end if 5th day, noticing the mistakes from day one. I would not call it mistakes, rather crime. If match fixing is a crime so is this. Much better is match fixing, as it does not bother the audience, unless known.
Add to these the ban for Harbajan, which could be considered a deviation of subjects, BCCI is right to stand up for this cause. If he a record making player does not play in Australia, we would be lacking to prove. Even if the punishment is lesser, that must not hider his play for the next matches in Australia. If a player can be banned why not condemn this match.
My request to fight is that this game is to be removed from records and the series must be of 3 matches instead of 4. The mostly thought of is that Harbajan ban and the tour to continue, some left out are Mark Benson, the third umpire, Ricky Pointing, and the match. Adding these as well with further decisions the tour can be thought of.

I have been reading some of the comments made and I would like to you all to cast your minds back
to the tour of India by Australia when Andrew Symonds was called a monkey and people in the stands were holding monkey pictures, so people I would not be so hasty in calling australians racists have a look in your own back yard first, I ask the question why was he singled out, was it how he played the game, the colour of his skin or his appearance? Also the umpires decisions in the game in Sydney were condemned by australian fans. I for one would like to see the tour continue because it gives the fans here a chance to see one of the greatest players your own Sachin Tendulka who is held in the highest regard here, when he made his 150 I cheered and so did alot of other people. I feel that what goes on between the players on the field should be left on the field.

Referring to Harbhajan as racist when I believe he was innocent and when there were not sufficient proof against him is just not an insult to Bhajji or Team India but to the entire nation.
We are definitely not racist…this is not in our culture and we will never be. We have people of differnt skin color in our country.
Just ask yourself a qn, if the same charges were thrown to an Aus player and if there were not sufficient proof what would have been the outcome?
If Bhajji is innocent, which I firmly believe he is, then I see no reason of India continuing the tour. It is high time we take strict actions so that it is not repeated in future and is set as an example.

After watching the test match, some rules have to be incorporated by ICC to give the other teams a perfect clarification
(1) Ricky Ponting – (THE TRULY GENUINE CRICKETER OF THE CRICKET ERA AND WHOSE INTEGRITY SHOULD NOT BE DOUBTED ) should be considered as the FOURTH UMPIRE. As per the new rules, FOURTH UMPIRE decision is final and will over ride any decisions taken by any other umpires. ON-FIELD umpires can seek the assistance of RICKY PONTING even if he is not on the field. This rule is to be made, so that every team should understand the importance of the FOURTH UMPIRE .
(2) While AUSTRALIAN TEAM is bowling, If the ball flies anywhere close to the AUSTRALIAN FIELDER(WITHIN 5 metre distance), the batsman is to be considered OUT irrelevant of whether the catch was taken cleanly or grassed. Any decision for further clarification should be seeked from the FOURTH UMPIRE. This is made to ensure that the cricket is played with SPORTIVE SPIRIT by all the teams.
(3) While BATTING , AUSTRALIAN players will wait for the ON-FIELD UMPIRE decisions only (even if the catch goes to the FIFTH SLIP as the ball might not have touched the bat). Each AUSTRALIAN batsman has to be out FOUR TIMES (minimum) before he can return to the pavilion. In case of THE CRICKETER WITH INTEGRITY, this can be higher.
(4) UMPIRES should consider a huge bonus if an AUSTRALIAN player scores a century. Any wrong decisions can be ignored as they will be paid huge bonus and will receive the backing of the AUSTRALIAN team and board.
(5) All AUSTRALIAN players are eligible to keep commenting about all players on the field and the OPPONENT TEAM should never comment as they will be spoiling the spirit of the AUSTRALIAN team. Any comments made in any other language are to be considered as RACIALISM only.
(6) MATCH REFREE decisions will be taken purely on the AUSTRALIAN TEAM advices only. Player views from the other teams decisions will not be considered for hearing. MATCH REFREES are to be given huge bonus if this rule is implemented.
(7) NO VISITING TEAM should plan to win in AUSTRALIA. This is to ensure that the sportive spirit of CRICKET is maintained.
(8) THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE : If any bowler gets RICKY PONTING – “THE UNDISPUTED CRICKETER WITH INTEGTIRY IN THE GAME OF CRICKET” more than twice in a series, he will be banned for the REST OF THE SERIES. This is to ensure that the best batsman/Captain will be played to break records and create history in the game of CRICKET.
These rules will clarify better to all the other teams VISITING AUSTRALIA.

The match referee was — surprise, surprise — Mike Procter no less; the same official currently in the hot seat in the India versus Australia series.
So, again — if the BCCI is serious about “upholding the honor” of the team and the country, should it not file, with irrefutable video evidence available by making a simple call to the broadcasters, a complaint against Ponting for unfairly claiming a catch, and further defending his “integrity” and insisting that the catch was 100 per cent fair?
Or does responsibility for ensuring that the game is played in the right spirit merely vest with some captains, but not with others?

Every cricket lover, cricket greats, players and retired players across subcontinent and other cricket world were celebrating India’s win in Perth. Also this
cricket religion thwarted on exclusion of Ganguly and Dravid (especially Ganguly) from upcoming short versions series to be held in
Australia. Its a heartburn for cricket lovers in purview of news came up when all are in celebration. As all aware Ganguly has
contributed significantly in terms of batsman, bowler and especially leader. Nobody can deny this. Mind that he was the man of the
series in last ODI series against cricket arch rival Pakistan and one of the best batsman in world ODI
cricket. I am convinced that Indian selection committee is a fool’s paradise when they said
about they denied he berths to senior players to up bring the young blood in the game and
not up to mark fielding capabilities of duo. I also have doubts on judgment ability of selection
Committee on how they compared with youngsters with senior players in fielding. Because
Those who are in selection committee and ex-players were not good fielders in their young age.
The unceremonious showing of the door to senior players without indicating the situation upfront
Is unprofessional. They cannot cover their ill management of this by telling they are looking for future
of the Indian cricket and to have better roadmaps for younger players. I request cricket greats, present

I feel by present enquiry against Harbhajan at this juncture would amount to harsh treatment and exploiting the player’s sentiments. BCCI should not have allowed IPL, awarding punishment to the player after holding enquiry for the unfortunate incident, under rules of its parent body i.e. BCCI (since IPL is goverened by BCCI rules).IPL should have been asked to send BCCI, its recommendations only for considering punisment under the same rules. A player can”t be punished more than once for the same offence, rather it amounts demoralsing and humiliation to him. I wish some one has thought of putting an award money for each six (even Rs.1,000 would have been excellent!) which could have gone to some charity in India (for children or old people). If a game can help a good cause its betters the value of the game. Cricket and especially this format is watched by millions and atleast by doing this BCCI could have shown their reposnibility towards the peeple. But they choose to just make money money and money!

I think BCCI select Sachin to the T20 squad and allow him to play in T20 World Cup, not to change winning combination is not a fine reason to avoid him. Rohit sharma inclusion in despite of poor form for only reason he is youngster is really unfair. The team should be selected by Srikanth for Indian team and not for Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings. The team now plays T20 is not the same as 2007 world cup winners. So including the best batsman is advantage to team. Now the 2009 world cup is on and so Sachin should be there in the team. If sachin deliver his best in IPL why could not for India in international T20. I think the selectors will select Sachin for T20 world cup and prove they select best team for India and make the respect to people is high. If Sanath can do for Srilanka why Sachin cannot do it for India. If India loses the T20 in Newzland and World cup without Sachin, the selectors are the full responsible for it. Apart from T20 07 world cup India had done well in T20 in Subcontinents and had a very big loss in Australia without Sachin. The samething should not repeat now. So Tendulkar inclusion T20 team is must to steady the team at difficult situation. The selectors must ask sachin to play for India in T20. Sachin has not decided not play T20 internationals because he is consistently ignored by the selectors. I hope we will soon see Sachin in T20 internationals for India.

We were annoyed with the Neo sports which had gone for a commercial break while it was a memoriable moment to watch the brothers happiness together and the joyous dressing room. The channel has become too greedy to earn money through these commercials at the cost of match. Better its right time this should be set right with right guidelines from BCCI contract.

These day there are a lot of catch dropping occur in matches.While grasping a catch it is very important that your should stuck with ball till last moment.But due to caps it misses when ball just comes in hand down the cap’s pad..Missing of sight form ball of eyes many times becomes the reason of dropping catch and losing match as well.So caps should be removed while taking catch.

i am very angry with the performance of team india vs south africa test match.they dont have right to be on no. one team in the world. they played
like bangladesh&zimbawbe in this match.
I think one of the team selector for India team Mr. Shrikkanth thinks that this is a team of South Indian players.
But Boss i advise you this is a Team India and not South India team. Every time he is selecting only south players. Why dont you select the players from other zones like East, West , North and Central?.
The other guys have also a talent and capability to play for team India.
Why he is not thinking about Irfan Pathan, Yousuf Pathan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Abhishek Nair, Manish Pande, RP Singh. These players also have a guts and can play for India.
Mr. Shrikaanth think for all and take a unanimous decision.
I was very upset by India’s performance in first test against the Proteas. Even though the batting was inexperienced, I feel personally that our fast bowlers was not up to the mark. I think they should bowl further up that is more fuller length balls like Steyn. Both Indian bowlers bowled shorter enough for the South African batsmen to play on the backfoot. I think they should increase their pace more and by pitching further up with the reverse swing they should be able to take wickets.On the Spinners side also the same mistake was done.
I am happy to hear that Sreesanth is fit for the second test. I think that for the second test they should go with 3 pace bowlers where the 3rd will be Sreesanth. The controversial decision that Dhoni has to make is that whether he should go with 2 full time spinners.
In the batting, I personally feel that they should include a left handed batsmen in the middle order to change the bowling lines of the South African bowlers. In 1st match we saw that Paul Harris bowled the same line outside the leg stump to our batsmen. If a left hander comes in the middle order he would change his line of attack.
I hope so that if these small changes is made for the second test, I hope that we will perform little better than the first test.

Why Selectors are consistantly avoiding Irfan Pathan. What mistake he has done?
He is much better bowler than Ashish Nehra, Ishant Sharma. He is even better batsman and fielder that Nehra & Ishant.

The BCCI has done a wonderful job by extending the facility of Infrastructure Subsidy to its affiliated units as this will increase facilities for cricketers by leaps and bounds and creation of more centres would encourage more young children to join the game of Cricket resultantly more talent would be nurtured and more cricketers would be produced

It is great that the BCCI has launched its own website which was the need of the hour. It is necessary for BCCI to keep its web site updated as soon as possible so that its importance is felt rather than posting a stale news which might have already broken in news channels or in the newspapers. Further it is also necessary that the real needy news or the information is posted rather than dead news.
i am writing my these observations since I have found the websites of many a state associations which are worthless, which are not updated even after weeks and some time even in months times. Such efforts become more of a cosmetic exercises rather than of any real intent. i hope the BCCI will not fall into that trap.
Will come up with real issues a little later. congrats once again wishing it would be of real use.

Now sometime in October 2008 Gautam Gambhir got banned for 1 test match due to his spat with Shane Watson. Gambhir had physical contact with the Shane Watson. As per the Match refree Chris Board: “The decision to find Gambhir guilty of a level 2 offence is indicative of the fact that any degree of physical contact is unacceptable”.
Now both the above incidents (Mitchell Johnson) were Level 2 offence, contrary to clause 2.2.4 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players or Team Officials, which relates to “inappropriate and deliberate physical contact between players in the course of play.
My concern is how come Gambhir got 1 Match ban and Mitchell Johnson got away with only 60% match fee while both of them have done the same offence.
Why BCCI is not questioning ICC about the different standard approach with Subcontinent players and Australia/NZ/England & South african players.

Dear Mr. Modi/ Mr.Gavaskar,
Am one of the millions of Cricket Fan’s and IPL in particular. However, I have a couple of suggestions which I hope u may want to consider, of course after its due diligence.
Firstly, the number of matches, I believe are too many ( I know its surprising) claiming to be a fan and complaining on the number of games. Am saying this with the view that 2 new teams are going to be added in the next edition and perhaps more in the future??
In order to have one match per day or two in some is ok, but if you were to have three matches a day and on almost ALL the days, then it is going to be tedious…. Of course, the Sponsor’s and the moneybags would say “More the Merrier”.
However, coming to the suggestion, if each team was to play the other only ONCE, as against TWICE and have 4 home and 4 away matches. BUT, the points awarded for a home game can be 2, and double, i.e, 4 for an away game.
Or 2 for home and 3 for away and 1 point deducted for a loss of Home game. This will keep all Captain’s and Players in the fray.
And, no team goes OUT OF CONTENTION for a Semi-Final spot, till the fag end of the tournament as against at least 1 or 2 teams knowing their fate, at half way stage itself. It can be uninteresting for the Players, Fans and even Ticket Sales if they were to know their team has no chances of making it to the Semi’s but yet watch the matches…
If you were to have this system, then it would ensure that ALL matches are played earnestly and millions watch it eagerly, after all, isn’t that the raison d’etre??
Another, suggestion is maybe you can bring back the Super-Sub rule and T20 is an ideal one for it. Instead of choosing any player, each team can designate a couple of Super Sub’s and only they can be used (for a match/ or even tournament). The super sub can be one Local and one Foreign player, and give the powers to opposite captain on who is allowed to be chosen a sub in that game. This can be changed a bit…..
These are suggestions, as a viewer/ fan and well wisher of IPL and Cricket. Hope, you will consider it, if not implement it.

My suggestion about IPL is very simple, easy and logical.
There will be no confusion for cricket lovers. Format will be more comfortable, hassle free and it will gain more craze for tournament and all new talent will get justice. Instead of taking different player from different state it should be like this; you can take all players from same state plus additional 4 international players.
Like for an example Mumbai Indians, 4 international players from different countries. Rest of all India players should be from Maharashtra only. Same like with other state also like Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi, Tamilnadu, West Bengal, Gujarat and Rajasthan. in this system one more benefit will go to all the new talent, they will get a chance in each match. if one perform well, he will get another chance in next match if he don’t then he will be replaced by the extra men sitting in the bench idol for whole tournament just watching and serving water.
I hope you’ll like my suggestions and implement it as I think this will raise the patriotic viewer ship of the viewers and hence, result in much more action packed and nail biting experience to the people.

Seeing Team India’s performance in this T20 WORLD CUP is worst than the previous edition.I think writing is on wall that India won last world championship when there was no sign of IPL.IPL for sure has ruined Indian Cricket big time.Players from other teams are so motivated to perform well for their country but our Indian players seem so confident of their places and there seems to be no desire or attempt to put their best foot forward for our own country INDIA.
IPL matches /polictics sadly taken indian cricket to bite dust in each world level championships.
Dinesh Karthik last match which India won against SA in a tough situation started the attack to the opposition and then Raina cashed in but inspite of him playing so well and he plays short ball also very well has been overlooked in the name of captain cool Dhoni.Piyush Chawla ignored.Pathetic captaincy from captain cool .Sourav ganguly once said “Team India plays its best when agressive” and we shout of our captain cool .We require passion and agression in a controlled way not coolness.

Dhoni and team management don’t deserve to be there in that position. Selecting Jadeja & Yuvaraj who was fielding bad and not in form for the crucial match against West Indies was a big mistake. Any one with some common sense would have taken out atleast Jadeja out of it. Team for the last match was much better. Learn from Australia and England. Many of the players only intrested in money not the pride of the nation. Fielding was pathetic. Board should think of cutting these lazy people’s salaries.

I dont think you can assess the team and th =e captain, with just one outing. I think Dhoni is the able captain in both Tests and ODIs. But as seniors have told you can go for a new faced, young team, as you have did for Zimbabwe series. But you could have selected Robin Uttappa as well. Just for t20s alone, we can go with a specialized team, I am totally against removing Dhoni from captaincy from Tests and ODIs.

Selection committee headed by Mr. K Shrikanth has selected the worst team ever selected to play our nation. Full blame should go to selectors and then the players. It seems Shrikanth and his group had lost their head in selecting the team. Players are least bothered to play for the nation. Drop the senior players irrespective of who they are for non performance. Selecting Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir and Ravindra Jadeja was the biggest blunder. Players like Irfan Pathan, an all rounder was overlooked. It is time that we people must raise our voice against such blunders, or else these sort of blunder by a bunch of comedians will be continued.

I wanted to add my point of view as a citizen of india on india show in westindies regarding T20 world cup. Sir, blaming captain Mahendra singh Dhoni or axing him is not the solution. He is the wonderful and cool captain i have ever seen. He is the best person to lead the indian team apart from respected god of cricket Sachin Tendulakar. A team won when all the players perform , and not only the captain. I remember commentators were telling that dhoni decision of taking feild first was absolutely correct as the pitch was bit damp and was having bit of moisture. Our bowlers were out of firm. Our pace attack is weak. It happens in 20-20 format, see being the No.1 team of the world australia also didn’t won the last two T-20 world cup. It is just a media hype, we need to have patience and give our full co-operation to indian team and keep faith on captain cool Dhoni. Definitely our team will perform much better in coming world cup 2011.

I want to go on root cause of this humiliating defeats of indian cricket team in world cup t20. i think these indian players get hefty monies in playing for IPL and they should be checked internally before they are sent to a mega world cup like t20 world cup. i saw last year’s world cup too and in that world cup too, yuvraj’s misfield marked exit of indian team from the world cup, refer to yuvraj’s misfields in world cup 2009 & 2010. On top of everything, dhoni’s exuberance of batting instead of fielding and many wrong decisions of palying with spinners instead of pacers.
i think indian players are paid more than they deserve to be and fans get disappointment by their irresponsibility.
We need good team that atleast can fight instead of put down arms in front of every opponent. I had left cricket long time back but i stay fit by regular gym, if indian cricket team players can’t play efficiently. please let me show them how to play!
Cricket in India is in the dmps barring a few wins at home. What else can one expect when over the last few years one sees incompetent people heading the board – Bansi Lal’s son, Dalmia who is involved in financial irregularities, Pawar who should have spent more time looking after his ministry instead of making money, and Sushankar Manohar who one has never heard of and I suppose has not cricket affliations. Hi, i echo some of the guys saying here that the selector should pick up rahul dravid, what mistake he has done to omite him from the one day squad. He is 1000 times better then rohit sharma, he is one useless cricketer dont know whos puch he is still finding place in the team. he should be first shown the door out. Hope most of the guys will accept my comment. Our fast bowling is fading up, sure the coach and team management should show sign of imporvement in this department thinking world cup is round the corner. we have very limited time to experiment with new commers, rather, the management can try with the experienced talent available. should concentrate more on all rounder rather then specilist.

i dont know why u people called the richest cricket board of world?when u have not enough sources to give a decent look to ur website.i dont understand why it is like this?just because u dont have money or u people are lacking on will power?Its really heart breaking to hear that richest board of cricket in the world (bcci) was last among the top 10 test playing nations to launch its own official website.though it is not proper and i cant found any related news of our favourite team.Try to earn something different rather than money BCCI.

Why bcci organise the australian tour of india in october,especially the 1st & 2nd test match(2-6 october),(10-14october) instead of knowing that the common wealth games are schedule from 3-14 october 2010.The common wealth games will be the largest multi-sport event conducted to date in Delhi and India generally.It will also be the first time the Commonwealth Games will be held in India and the second time the event has been held in Asia (after 1998 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).The total budget estimated for hosting the Games is US$ 1.6 billion.This will likely make the 2010 Commonwealth Games the most expensive Commonwealth Games ever, being larger than the previous games in Melbourne 2006 (approx. US$ 1.1 billion).From this common wealth games India have a ray of hope to promote other games rather than cricket(which is consider not just as a game but a religion in our country).According to the report, the budget for the CWG has risen from an initial projection of Rs 1,889 crore to an official figure of Rs 10,000 crore. Independent experts have pegged the budget at Rs 30,000 crore.So goverment have to collect this money in time to complete the event and guess what they are collecting the money from the common people of delhi by imposing different types of price hike in various things to make this 12-day sports event a ‘national pride’. I doesn’t think that these facts are unknown to the respected bcci members.with so much talk in media and such a huge investment in this event(CWG) the common people’s intrest is growing day by day towards this event.Instead of knowing all these facts how can u schedule the tour of a team like australia(world champions) to india between this mega event(CWG).knowing the fact that in recent years india and australia cricketing rivalry become more popular and same as the india-pakistan cricket rivalry.The worst part is there are only two tests, both between the CWG event.This will defenetly effect the common people’s mind.It will distract many people who want to go delhi to watch the event not just these but also those people who plan to watch this mega event in tv.personally i am also confused what should i watch CWG or this highly anticipated series(india-australia) of the year.you(BCCI)people had done it before by shifting the IPL to S.A,by not sending the indian cricket team to the asian games which will be held in china this november and now the ind-aus test macth series between the CWG.I am requesting to the respected members of BCCI to shift the series for couple of weeks(after 14 october)Because every sports in this country deserves a fair amount of chance to raise its popularity indivisually.

I think previous selection board is the best comparing the present.the players are selecting only from south India particularly Tamil Nadu.Though I belong to TN,I am the citizen of india.but why the leader of the selection board Mr.srikanth is taking players form the south.
another request, blaming only the selection board is not the right way ,but some the players of the team is not having any unity or manners.After playing their first two matches they are going as a model for ads and head weight.ALL THE BEST FOR THE WORLD CUP.

depending on rakings say 1-india, 2-southafrica , 3-australia , 4-srilanka , … ,8-bangladesh
there should be 3-testmatch series between two countries such that say 2-southafrica wil play 1-india(higher rankes) at home
and with 3-australia(lower ranked) in australia.this should be done for all teams
3-australia then wil have 2 TOUNAMENTS OF 3-test match series — one against 2-southafrica and other against 4- srilanka in srilanka
& so on for all teams
***- for 1-india there wil be 2 tournaments and both away series against 2-southafrica and 8-bangladesh
There should be POINT system to decide on draw tests depending on opponents ranks
finally depending on FINAL POINTS FOR INCLUDING WIN AND DRAW TOP 4 teams to play semifinal
and winners to play final for TEST CHAMPIONSHIP
please put forward this idea to as many cricket administrator as you can

Whether Ajit Agarkar can be bracketed as a stalwart from either domestic or international cricket is in itself a tricky proposition. Until last year he was part of India’s Twenty20 World Cup jubilation, and had toured England prior to that. Now, though, his name has withered into obscurity, shrunk almost as much as his frame.
A wave of next-generation fast bowlers has captured the imagination of a country where spinners were once the norm. Kapil Dev’s stellar career established a belief, and the likes of Manoj Prabhakar and Javagal Srinath helped erase the dogma. But the next crop was particularly hard to find.
Then Ajit Agarkar burst onto prominence. It was the series at Sharjah in 1998. Some say it was the second coming of Sachin Tendulkar. Little remember that the little Mumbai pacer made huge strides from thereon. He grew from strength to strength, becoming the fastest bowler to reach 50 ODI wickets. His economy-rate was over five runs per over. No one cared as long as he was picking up two wickets a game.
After Mumbai collapsed from an overnight 279-2 to 330 all out, the pacers had their work cut out. They didn’t have the assurance of Zaheer Khan who is away on international duty, but a battle-hardened veteran leading the attack and a greenhorn who impressed one and all during the IPL and has picked up 18 wickets in the first two games of his domestic career over the past two weeks: Dhaval Kulkarni.
Agarkar took the new ball from the old pavilion end and at once evoked two emotions that have typified his career: capable of running through batting orders and erratic at the same time. Ravi Shastri often refers to a bowler of his ilk as a “slippery customer”. He retains the ability to surprise batsmen with his pace. But he has a greater gift, of swinging the new ball away mightily from the right-hander.
He warmed up to the Delhi winter sun with a gingerly first over, and the first ball of his next over proved he hasn’t lost his touch. A batsman ought to know where his off-stump is, says the famous maxim. For left-handed Shikhar Dhawan, the saying held even more importance. It was a genuine banana-like out-swinger. It started from outside the line and cannoned into the off-stump as the teams broke for tea.
Those seven deliveries seemed to ridicule the Delhi pacemen, who struggled to move the ball on a much dull first day. They ripped through Mumbai’s batting first thing on the second day all right, but movement off the air wasn’t as exhaggerated. Agarkar was perhaps playing on a different surface altogether.
His second wicket came in his second spell, with the ball 20-something overs old. It was still swinging. Aditya Jain played down the wrong line. Agarkar slipped one that held its line, and sent the leg-stump cartwheeling near the wicketkeeper. He was quick to assess the conditions: “It was swinging, not seaming.” Lateral movement was not something Agarkar ever relied upon.
His understudy, Kulkarni, is similarly built. He is not blessed with Agarkar’s slinging side-on action, and doesn’t even have a jump in his delivery stride. Yet, he is deceptively quick, and can move the ball both ways. Batsmen were often rushed into their shots, and the bowler was rewarded with the prized scalp of captain Aakash Chopra.
Only recently Kulkarni came back from a stint at the Australian Centre of Excellence under the Dilip Sardesai Scholarship. It’s still early days, but Agarkar knows he’s a talent. “Kulkarni is an impressive new bowler. He is bowling very well. It’s been a great beginning to his Ranji season.” It’s a cruel sport. Agarkar is 10 years Kulkarni’s senior, yet they fight for the same honour.
He was touted as the missing all-rounder, even has a Test century at Lord’s to boot. But he straight away rubbishes it. “I was never an all-rounder.”
Nearing 33, Agarkar doesn’t even qualify as a veteran. It’s only the start of the domestic season, and the increasing load of international cricket means the likes of him are still in contention. After all, 288 ODI wickets should count for something. “I still want to play for India. That’s why I’m here.” Whether he gets picked for the national team is another matter, but if he does, those two emotions will at once rush to mind.
one can see depth in our bowling department…288 wickets in ODI…at batting paradise all over the world….is not bad record for a place in indian team…

There are so many bowler in India but you are not selecting them, why?. Irfan Pathan, RP Singh and Ashish Nehra seems on of the best combination as a fast attack. Pl make right selection. Otherwise we will face so many such type of defeat in future and our no-1 posn is in denger due to bad selection policy.
