The umpires have crossed all the limits. This was a horrible umpiring. With this win Australia equal test wins record. This test match was all about issues of race and umpiring. Forget about lbw decisions, there were at last 9 big umpiring errors in the Sydney test:
=> Umpire Mark Benson fails to give pointing out, however he gives out Ganguly with the help of 4th umpire called Ponting.
=> Steve Bucknor fails to give Symonds out, however he rules Dravid caught out when the ball had clearly gone off the batsman’s pad.
=> Third umpire Oxenford fails to give Symonds out (this guy cannot watch super slow TV replays)
=> And many more errors.

Australia’s win is biased and flawed. The umpires have gifted match to Australia. I just hope India fight back in 3rd test.

Yes the world’ isn’t fair place, so the cricket game, but why all unfair in our favor only? I must say give man of the match award to umpires. Australia, you did not deserve this win. Players refusing to walk when clearly out; this is not gentleman’s game anymore, period. The game of cricket must live.
Update: The Indian team manager in Australia, Chetan Chauhan, has said the team management would request the ICC not to depute Steve Bucknor and Mark Benson in future matches involving India.

Seeing from past years that India has been always in the receiving end from Umpires, Match Referees and ICC itself though we all know that its nothing but double standards that we had to deal with.
BCCI should walk out of ICC, otherwise BCCI will be taken for granted by these people. ICC can’t bear the losses with BCCI walking out so will have to get back to its senses and take this issue very seriously. Please do take this suggestion seriously otherwise india will have to see this sort of situations again in future which none of the fans would like to even think.
when is bcci going to wake up . should not remain spineless .this australian team has insulted mr.sharad pawar in front of the whole world and nothing happened to them. how much abusive their players are .why should we tolerate . our team should walk out and return to india in protest. without evidence icc has penalised innocent bhajji . the whole team should unite together and ask icc to apologize. should raise this issue with all the other teams in the world.surely every team has also experienced the rude and abusive behaviour of arrogant aussies.
BCCI officials…do something, there is no evidence against Harbajan still you can’t do anything but just appeal..its a shame, real shame.

enough has done, now it is last straw on camel’s back. so rest of world team should come to geather to protest this “world champion’s-?” behaviour. if they can not win with their skill, they start to use umpires and match refree as their tools. indian team should come back to india to protest because there is no mean to race with tied legs in any competition, so come back & save your nation pride. this can cool only burning hearts of indian crickets fans.

Hi, I would like to ask a question from Indian Supreme Trio (Sharad Pawar, Rajiv Shukla and Niranjan Shah), why BCCI is tight-lipped on the unprofessional forceful decisions by Mike Procter for putting a 3 Test Matches banned on Mr. Harbhajan Singh, (is Punter scared of Bhajji, it seems Punter can’t handle Indian spin attack) and bad umpiring by the world’s worst umpire Steve “Unprofessional” Bucknor and Australian Slave Mark Benson?
What even if 3 test matches banned on Bhajji is revoked, will Punter and company, Mike Procter and ICC apologies to Bhajji, Indian Team and BCCI?
What if Asian cricket teams stop playing against Australia? Do they have any future in Cricket and Hockey without Sub-Continent Teams?
Is there a chance that BCCI is getting financial assistance from Australian Cricket Board or ICC? Why politicians are handling cricket?
Why not people who have played professional cricket cannot be appointed as President of BCCI (to name few Kapil Dev, Navjot Singh Siddhu, Ravi Shastri, Mohammad Azharuddin, Ajay Jadeja, Krishnamachari Srikanth, Nawab Mansoor Ali Pataudi)?
BCCI and ICC are making a farce out of cricket. As a spectator, I feel cheated after wasting several hours each day for the match which in the end was FIXED by umpires. A probe should be launched whether umpires did this for money. Cricket is now STAGED in front of unsuspecting spectators
Also, Pointing should be banned since his appealing and conformation of Gangulay catch amount to cheating. He lacks integrity and is a big CHEAT. All their world records are really a result of cheating

Let us examine the FACTS (annotated briefly with my opinions) :
Fact 1: Nobody can deny that the umpiring in this Test match was appalling and India suffered the most, with Symonds/Australia benefitting the most.
Fact 2: Ponting had been Harbhajan’s ‘bunny’. Harbhajan has dismissed Ponting in the last eight innings he has played against that bowler. {Opinion – Ponting/Australia had every reason to discredit/demoralise Harbhajan)
Fact 3: Symonds and Hayden are closer to each other than a set of twins ever since Symonds rescued Hayden and saved his life during a fishing accident. (Opinion – So Hayden owed Symonds one). (Opinion – Michael Clarke claimed a catch against Ganguly which,on video replays – not called for by the umpres -, appeared to have been grounded)
Fact 4: Neither umpire (Bucknor/Benson/BNJ Oxenbridge (third umpire)) or Proctor (match referee) officiating in this match heard Harbhajan utter any racially objectionable words towards Symonds.
Fact 5: Michael Clarke was the second witness apart from Hayden produced by Symonds to support his allegation.
Fact 6: The match referee. Proctor, did not have any video or audio evidence against Harbhajan. (Opinion – Thus, Tendulkar. who was the only other Indian player/official on the pitch, was the only defence witness for Harbhajan apart from the umpires who did not hear any alleged racist slur uttered by Harbhajan).
Fact 6: What little video evidence there was did not suggest or show Harbhajan behaving in an aggressive or threatening or an angry manner towards Symonds, the other Aussie players or the umpires.
Fact 7: Australian players/officials have a history of vicious sledging and racist bias especially against players from the sub-continent.
Fact 8: That match referee, Mike Proctor, is incompetent had previously been demonstrated by his lack of understanding or ignorance of the rules of the game from his performance in the ‘forfeited’ Oval Test match between England and Pakistan in 2007.
Fact 9: Proctor was born and brought up and played his cricket in the racially biased, apartheid regime in South Africa and at the time, Australia was the only nation which played Test cricket against South Africa. (Opinion – Thus, his credentials as a ‘referee’ in this dispute are questionable).
Opinion – The word ‘monkey’ (which no one except Symonds and his two team-mates allegedly heard) is not a term of abuse in India. In Hindu religion monkeys are an incarnation of one of several deities and hence revered as gods.
Opinion – Under the circumstances, it is surprising that it took Proctor eight hours to find Harbhajan guilty even though he had no evidence which will stand up in a court of law to justify his ludicrous claim that “I am satisfied beyond a reasonable doubt that Harbhajan Singh directed that word [monkey] at Andrew Symonds and also that he meant it to offend on the basis of Symonds’s race or ethnic origin.” Can the ICC bring some sanity/fairness to the proceedings?
Opinion – Malcolm Speed recently said that the use of more evidence was opposed by sosme of the umpires because it would amount to the on-field being no more than a “coat stand”. If the umpiring in the current Test at Sydney is anything to go by, a coat stand would have been an order of magnitude better than the umpires and referees officiating in the match put together.

Congratulations India. You have become the worst team in the world for your inability to accept defeat.
What a pack of sore losers!! You have been beaten comprehensively in two tests, and have been convicted for racial abuse but its everyone else’s fault. Anil is trying to draw the attention away from his poor captaincy and even worse record to prevent his house being burned to the ground.
Talk about poor sportsmanship. Why is it that the no 11 walks out and changes his gloves without facing a ball? Time wasting? Trying to run down the clock? Disgraceful, just like Harbhajan’s filthy gutter mouth. Face it India. You are now confirmed as a team of racial abusers.
Come on India, beat the crap out of the Aussies, we stopped their world run once and we can do it again, but this time in their own country.

We don’t feel lost of 2nd test match. because Aussie’s played “Azhugini Aattam”[in our mother language] that means “aussies feel in his bottom of heart this test going to on drawn or win to india, so we do something ball by ball, and also we played with all umpires, but the car accelerator is in idiot steve, stubid mark, that is very difficult. very bad moments yesterday, i am very feel about this type of cricket. i am love cricket, i love indian cricket, really i am very disappointed, Please BCCI please … do … very Hot action against Aussies.
Clearly the average Indian cricket lover thinks cancelling a tour over poor umpiring decisions, unfounded claims of cheating and a player reported for racial abuse is warranted. If the BCCI agrees and terminates this tour it will do irreparable damage to the game of cricket and the reputation of the wonderful players you love so much. The FACT is the umpiring was a disgrace and whilst it affected India more, it was a disgrace against Australian players also. Who know what would have happened had they got every decision right and frankly its not the point. All players / teams around the world tolerate “wrong” calls by umpires, but that is part of the game and part of what has made it a great game. Your fans seem hell bent on saying Aussies cheat, but none of you are criticising how poorly your team members perform outside the great Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Ganguly and Dravid. You dont even rejoice in the discovery of one of the brightest young talents in fast bowling in your young 19 year old quick. Show some pride and intestinal fortitude India and get on the park and play cricket. The best way to stick it to the Aussies and play and win.

Australia are the best side in the world through sheer hard work, the umpiring was crap in this test but get over it. If you happen to turn up for the 3rd test you will get spanked again. Because the test is in Perth (A notriously fast, high bouncing pitch) you’re batsmen will not cope with anything that bounces above their waist. Good luck !! Get the excuses ready my Indian friends !!
