The Ashes is a Test cricket series, played between England and Australia or read as it is cricket’s most celebrated rivalry.
The ashes is the oldest in international cricket dating back to 1882. It is currently played at approximately two yearly intervals, alternately in England and Australia.
The 2006-07 cricket series between Australia and England for The Ashes will be played in Australia between 23 November 2006 and 5 January 2007. The five-Test series has matches scheduled at Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney. England goes into the series as holder of the Ashes and requiring to win or draw the series to retain them.
Yahoo news is reporting that, final Ashes tickets go on general sale:
Desperate supporters will have a chance to get their hands on treasured Ashes tickets from Wednesday when more than 26,000 tickets for the five tests go on general sale, Cricket Australia said on Monday.
